Fun fact no 1

The church is considered one of the most unusual and demanding Baroque construction projects in the Hrvatsko Zagorje region. Its design includes side chapels that form a cross, and its main façade is adorned with a tower whose upper part is octagonal. This structure, which can be approached from two sides, was built in 1708 and consecrated in 1713. It became a parish church in 1799.

The area of Vinagora, part of the Ratkaj Velikotabor manor, has been known for wine-growing since ancient times. The church's location on the highest hill in the region (elevation 404) adds to its prominence. In the 16th century, a statue of Mary called the Mother of God of Vinagora was already present on the hilltop, attracting worshippers from various places.

The church houses several artistic and religious artifacts of note. This includes a Gothic statue of the Blessed Virgin with the baby Jesus dating back to around 1500, baroque-style altars, and a pulpit with Classicist garlands from 1805. The church's interiors and exteriors blend artistic elements with its historical and religious significance.

This parish church, situated atop a hill in the settlement of Vinagora, features a cruciform layout. It comprises a rectangular nave with side chapels and a polygonal sanctuary, all encircled by a cincture. The church was constructed in the 18th century on the site of an older chapel, while the surrounding cincture dates back to the 19th century. The church's inventory primarily dates from the latter half of the 18th century and the early 19th century.

Adjacent to the church, to its east, stands the parochial house, built in 1858. This building features a two-story facade, but only a single story on its western side. The upper floor houses the largest and most representative room, the palace.

Under the code Z-3521, the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is registered as an immovable cultural property. It holds the legal status of a protected cultural good and is classified as "sacral architectural heritage." This designation underscores the church's historical and architectural significance within the region.
